This book is the biography of an educated Hmong man who talks about his life during the Secret War, the Chao Fa War, the migration as refugee to Thailand and finally to the United States, and beyond. The author is the head of the family appeared in the National Geographics' artical of a Hmong family coming from Thailand to Wisconsin in the early 1980s. Well written with black and white photos. Recommended for class of Hmong history and migration to the United States and to those who are interested in Hmong refugee experience.
