There are roughly about ten million Hmong world-wide. Most Hmong today live in China, Laos, northern Vietnam, Thailand, and Burma and are all believed to be descendants of Hmong who originally lived in central China. Since 1975, over one hundred thousand of Hmong have resettled in the U.S. as a result of the Indochina China War and the Secret War in Laos.
