Long Cheng was the biggest Hmong city in Laos before 1975 and also the military base of General Vang Pao and the CIA. It once was regarded as the "most secret" spot on earth.

Once over 30,000 Hmong lived in the city until it was taken over the communists in 1975. It has been the most talked about and remembered place of the Hmong in recent history. Many Hmong businesses around the world have been named after Long Cheng.
